Let me tell you a little bit about myself and my services. First things first, my name is JR Hindman and I’m just one man. I’m the furthest thing from a big, fancy, overpriced agency so if that’s what you’re looking for, keep on surfing :-)
In terms of credentials, I am an alumni of beautiful Northern Arizona University and obtained my BSBA in Marketing with a minor in Promotions (graduated with Honors). Then I spent years as an Executive Staffing Agent, or “Headhunter”, with Management Recruiters, Inc. where I worked with countless hiring managers across various industries and helped them to fulfill all their employment needs. In that time, I acquired a thorough understanding of what these individuals were looking for in potential job candidates. I began to see patterns, consistencies, universal tendencies, and I began to see just how important a good resume really is.
After I left the recruiting industry I started writing resumes for people and since then I have developed and honed a simple, yet poignantly elegant formatting style. In fact, I have published numerous articles on the craft of resume writing and my style has become renowned nationally. I actually worked as a freelance resume writer for some of the larger “agencies” before I decided to branch out on my own a few years back.
My goal as a resume writer is to assure that every hiring authority will give you the consideration you deserve. The “strategic” resumes I write are designed to highlight those aspects of your background which are most relevant to the job(s) you are planning to apply for and my methodology has proven very successful in the past. I figure if a hiring manager is only going to spend an average of 15 seconds perusing a resume, you better show them what they want to see and you better make it as easy on them as possible.
When it comes to a professional resume, the most important thing to sell is your potential…and I know how to do that!
In addition to writing resumes, I also write cover letters and thank you letters, I provide editing services, and I do specialized writing projects by request. Since I conduct my business exclusively online, I have very little overhead and I pass the savings on to you. In the end, you get an effective professional resume for a fraction of what you would have been charged elsewhere and I get to put food on the table. It’s win-win :-)
